After some changes in the Facebook application the ‘popup’ module of this script stopped working properly. This new version corrects this bug and adds two new modules: ‘highlight’ and ‘grinding’.
Changelog
- Corrected the malfunction in the ‘popup’ module.
- Added a way to specify the standard delay for actions (in the preferences).
- Added a menu command (accessible via Tools > GreaseMonkey > Script Commands) that resets the database and is totally equivalent to reinstalling the script.
- Added a ‘highlight’ module like in the 0.4 series: missing cards from selected collections are highlighted and moved in front of the pack.
- Added a ‘Delete cards from completed collections’, that cleans the markets and friend packs from collection that we already finished.
- Added a ‘grinding’ module. When active it will automatically steal cards from friends packs and drop the same card instead. It can be useful for low level characters to level up.
- (Version 0.10.3) From this version you have to go to Your Friends page at least once to give the script the chance the read the list of your friends.

[Update: in version 0.10 the 'highlight' module updated the 'credit' preferences...
Version 0.10.2 corrects other minor bugs,
Version 0.10.3 corrects not recognized cards (like 'roulette=wheel')
Version 0.10.4 corrects grinding of mismatched cards.
Version 0.10.5 corrects another "In the Oven" problem.]
I published a quick fix for the Monsters Enhancer, that makes it work with the new Facebook layout as version 1.1.1.

Following some comments on my last post I made some adjustments to the script to follow the user preferences. Hence I publish version 0.9.1 of the script.
I wish to thank Arachne, Kriis, Splityarn and JustOneTrack for their contributions.
Changelog
- Browsing is only active on user pages.
- I added a ‘Notes’ field to the script status. It’s where messages like “You must go to X page for Y feature” go.
- The “Pop-up” message when we stumble on pop-ups was deleted. As I already said it was meant only for debugging purpose, I didn’t mean to include it into the release.
- The previous script browsed randomly to the next or previous friend. Since users did not appreciate the random walk, I reverted to the previous behaviour, meaning that the script always goes to the next friend.
- Some minor adjustments around the pause function.

I just discovered that Facebook introduced a new layout that uses different URLs (apps.new.facebook.com), so I am obliged to release a quick fix to work with the new layout.

[Update: I eventually managed to go to jail, so now the script recognizes jail and sets the appropriate delay for actions. Hence beta2a.]

Back from my holiday I could eventually test the new features of the script and we are ready for a new release. Plenty of information was added to the game’s screen as well as a hospital module. Also since the script is almost complete we are going directly to version 1.0-beta
New features
- Hospital: You can now instruct the script to heal you whenever your health goes below a certain level (in the preferences menu). I am not sure how much we can heal ourselves, but you should enter values of 50-60% maximum if you don’t want the script to go too often to the hospital to discover that healing is not available.
- Buying amount: You can now buy and sell stockpile and buildings by any amount you wish. Buying/selling more than 10 buildings is forbidden by the server (if you try you’ll get an error message).
- Return of income: You can see on your City what is the return of income of the different buildings, the advised quantity (whether you should buy a unit or wait until you can buy 10) is automatically entered on the left of the buying button and you can see the number of turns (of 54 minutes for Insomniacs or 60 minutes otherwise) left until you earn enough money to make the acquisition. The computation of the number of turns is done using your hourly income and the mean payout of your active job.
- Attack and defense strength: You can see on the Fight and Stockpile page your current attack and defense strength.
- Enemy max mob size: On your Fight page you can see what is the maximum mob size of enemies you can safely attack. Roughly it means that an enemy of this size equipped with the most powerful weapons at your disposal will have a defense strength less than your attack strength. Obviously we can not know how many level-up points where used by your opponent to increase his defense strength.
- Best weapon purchase: On your Stockpile page you can see what is the most profitable purchase to increase your attack/defense rating: 300 Colts 1911 (300k$) are cheaper than 50 Miniguns (6M$) and they both increase your attack rating by 600 points. Obviously the calculations done take into account your mob size (don’t bother buying 10 Miniguns if you have only 5 mob members).
- Debugging: I added some debugging code to the script. If one of the modules crashes you can see the error in the Menu panel (and if the menu panel crashes you receive a pop-up
).

Since I’ve stumbled across a site which offers scripts similar in features to those you find on this site, but for a fee, I would like to elucidate about the licensing of my scripts.
They are all released under GNU General Public Licence version 2 or (at your choice) later. They are free of charge and provided without any warranty (even implied). I’ll do my best to resolve all the problems on this blog.
However if you wish to make a donation, you are welcome to do so. They will help me maintaining this site and coding new script features. Here are some methods you can use:
Remember to include your name or nickname and an e-mail address so that I can thank contributors personally and dedicate new releases to them :-).
This site also displays ads to support itself, but since Google AdSense pays on a per-click rather than per-view basis I won’t see any money until 2020

After the “Proof of concept” release last week, version 0.2 of the application enhancer script for the game Mob Wars was published earlier this morning.
Among others is features:
- A new statistics panel with all your income data in one place.
- A preferences module that allows you to set the options of all other modules.
- A way to choose which job to perform.
- A bank module that deposits your cash into the bank every time a job is done or your hourly income arrives.
Facebook Mob Wars Helper: version 0.2.1
Also available on UserScripts.org.
[Update: there was a little but very nasty bug in a function that only FF2 executed that rendered the script totally unusable... Version 0.2.1 replace version 0.2.
What was the bug? In the function Utils.getElementsByClassName I forgot the return statement :-D]

For those who are eager to test our Mob Wars script, we decided to publish a preview of the current state of the script. What does it do? It does jobs automatically once it has gathered enough data.
To get started you have to visit the stockpile page and then go to the jobs. If no errors occur the script should begin doing the best job (for the minimum payout / energy ratio) in a loop and also the prep jobs that are needed.
Disclaimer: this is an alpha release, it means that I tested it only for a very short amount of time and the script could even not work at all.
There are many things that I ignore about the game, like the delays for energy, health and stamina, a complete list of jobs that are available at high levels, etc. If you have these informations, please send them to me either as a comment on this blog or to piotr DOT karwasz AT gmail DOT com.

[Update]: A new version (alpha2) was uploaded to enforce the check of Stockpile, so the script is easier to use.

Since a new feature (”In the oven”) in the PackRat application disrupted the functioning of the script, we publish a rapid fix to this issue. I would like to thank James for his patch.
