PackRat script: version 1.0.1
[This version of the script is OBSOLETE. For more informations and newer versions check the PackRat Helper category.]
At a popular demand and since it doesn’t seem to provide any valuable data, I removed the pop-up that relayed the error messages when the menu is not available.
Changelog:
- Removed the pop-up with errors.
- Update version 1.0.2: a last bugfix for the market stalking fix.
Download PackRat Helper: version 1.0.1, version 1.0.2
Also available at UserScripts.org, where you find a short manual.
For more informations about the installation process please check the FAQ.

New suggestion:
Since users of this script often know where the unknown cards are because of the Wikis… Allow the users to pick which markets they want to stalk for the unknown cards.

The market stalking is not working for me and I’m using the version 1.0.2. It identifies the cards, but does not purchase them. I really like Max’s suggestion about letting users select which markets are stalked for unknown cards.

Sadly, the automatic buying doesn’t work anymore. Although the script does stalk, and even highlights proper cards

Thirded - suddenly the buying function does not work. Also, the time delay isn’t working right - I set it to 8 seconds, but it stalks every 6. When I had it set on 6 it stalked every 3. Oh, and something that hasn’t worked right for a while for me…no matter what setting I choose or how many times I change it back and forth, cards in my shopping list are *always* highlighted, even if I’ve recently purchased them from a market.
Wish: I’d like a Pause Script button when it’s in the markets, not just when it’s scrolling users. I have never been able to pause the script using the space bar, unless I was typing in a comment box.

First, let me say, thank you! Awesome script, very smart and powerful. However, I seem to notice a problem when there are more than one user on a computer. Between me and my wife we usually work on different sets at a time, and I think having different different sets completed in vaults is confusing the script.
Wish: I’d like to have a command to manually get the script to check the vault.

In ‘Show Unknown Cards’ green-scene/nuclear-power-plane should be green-scene/nuclear-power-plant
TY for all your effort on this script.

I’m having the same problem with the market.

About the stalking module: the Dev’s have rolled back the change in the market buying functionality, so it doesn’t work anymore. I’ll fix it in the next days.

Thanks, as always, Piotr!
Also- I have cards that were released Thursday and Friday that still aren’t showing up in my list. Is anyone else having problems with their database updating?

About the Dev’s changing the buying functionality, it would be good to set an OR condition so in case they get wishy washy and change it back again.

Thanks a million! I’ll wait patiently for the upgrade.
I don’t know about the others, but I appreciate the script, and all your work, a great deal.

Hi - I recently made a jackpot - so tried the grinding function - its great but can you add ( if possible) to grind only jackpots or certain cards above a limit. But then I tried to turn off the grinding and now it won’t scroll ( the resume browsing button is gone unless i turn the grinding back on. why? so i cant scroll without grinding now???
Comment by Barb — 16/9/2008 @ 2:02 am
Hi, i seemed to fix my own problem - i unistalled the script and re installed - its now scrolling without grinding but the idea of grinding certain cards only not 100 value cards would be good for ppl that just have jackpots (50000).
Keep up the great work cause I love this script and now have got several friends using it too!

packrat addict: The market stalking module does not have a pause function at the moment. I thought that since the delay for market stalking is quite big, you’ll always have the time to go to another page.
Packrat addict 2: I should probably prefix the variables where the script’s data are with your Facebook ID. Anyway the cleanest solution possible is to use different Firefox profile’s for you and your wife (or different user accounts).
athena: The user commands appear only on a PackRat page.
Barb: Personally I think that addicted another option to choose which cards to grind will render the preferences difficult to read. Anyway I’ll think about it.
It should scroll the user pages if one of the modules need it. Last resort is to select the “browse user pages in an infinite loop” option.

The Dev’s asked to disable the stalk module, so I am not fixing it right now. For more informations read this post.
As you know, scripts are not accepted by the Facebook Terms of Use, so we rely on the Dev’s tolerance to continue playing with our tools. Since they are willing to find a compromise between the script features and the game usability and they are giving us this great game for free, it would be plainly foolish to begin a war of changes to see who will be victorious.
