Gates to my Gallery

Recently I discovered a passion for photography and having some background and experience with computers I chose the controversial digital photography. My main subjects, as you can see, are inanimate objects photographed by night.

My equipment is actually reduced, but I do not want to spend money if I am not capable to take good shots.

Owned equipment:

• Canon Powershot G3
• 2 Cards Compact Flash Hama 256 MB
• Canon LA-DC58B adaptor ring
• Canon TC-DC58 telephoto converter for the G2, but works quite fine with the G3. There is vignetting if you zoom back to 2x or 3x. Sometimes it is a wanted photo effect.

Short term purchase plan:

• A good tripod

Long term purchase plan:

• Canon WC-DC58N wide-angle converter
• A flash, maybe the SpeedLite 220 EX
• A 35 mm SLR? I like to walk to step with technology, but in the wrong direction... Beyond the joke, I think film photography is a great thing. I just do not want to have a 36 photos film full of tourists that walk before my camera.

Realistic dreams:

• Canon EOS 10-D

5.1 Some shots

While waiting for time to finish this work, I made a little album of my best pictures taken in Paris using the PHP4 script collection Gallery. You can not see yet the camera settings which were used, but give me time...
